Volquartsen's Newest .22

Every red blooded American owns at least one .22LR caliber firearm.  Whether it’s grandpa’s old Marlin Model 60, a Ruger 10/22 you found at a pawn shop, a Heritage Rough Rider that you bought for $80 on clearance at a big box store, or a Ruger Mk.III that has you taking home an Olympic Bronze Medal, you have a 22 and you wouldn’t trade it for anything…until now.
Volquartsen, a manufacturer of some of the finest .22 caliber firearms in the world, has released a new version of their Scorpion, known as the Scorpion-X.
Available with a 4.5 or 6 inch stainless steel barrel, this new pistol has all of the makings to be a formidable competition target pistol.  Sold with a single-port compensator, the muzzle has an industry-standard 1/2x28 thread to accept an endless variety of flash hiders, muzzle brakes, compensators, suppressors, and other muzzle devices.  The upper receiver has a number of holes in the top to accept all of the most common optics for pistols, in case you’re one to run a red dot like the absolute pro that you are.  The bolt is DLC coated and has a beautiful, smooth, reflective finish, and the charging handle’s style is carried over from the previous Scorpion model.
The frame of this new pistol is made of Aluminum and is based on the Ruger Mk.III, and has an accurizing kit to deliver a 2.25lb trigger pull.
If you already have a Ruger Mk.III pistol and don’t want to buy an entire gun, then fear not.  Volquartsen also sells the upper for this platform, the LLV-X, as a stand-alone product, and is compatible with Volquartsen’s competition bolt and also with the bolt that’s already in your Ruger Mk.III.
