Best Concealed Carry Guns By Caliber
To help you get started, we've included a few options for each caliber.
1. 9mm
There are a lot of decent options in the 9mm CCW category.
Smith & Wesson M&P Shield. The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm is a decent size for concealment and large enough for your entire hand to rest on the grip. It's not as small as many compact weapons, but it's not as small as a subcompact. It's also quite slim. Approximately 1" thick.
SIG SAUER P365 Series. This is referred to as a "micro-compact." It has a large capacity for its size. For the past few years, this has been one of our favorites!
Glock 43. The G43 is a single-stack goodness with Glock's legendary record for dependability. Only holds 6+1, but it vanishes in a holster.
Taurus G2C. If you're on a tight budget, the Taurus G2C should be on your radar. It's about the same size as a Sig P365, with a double-stack 12+1 configuration, and is quite dependable.
Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ 9mm. Looking for the simplest 9mm handgun to rack? The M&P Shield EZ's "EZ" stands for simple racking and loading. There were no hitches, the accuracy and ergonomics were good, and the price was reasonable.
Springfield Armory XD-S. The XD-S is small and concealable, a combination that is difficult to find in a larger caliber. It kicks and can make reacquiring your target more difficult when firing quickly due to the shorter barrel and greater caliber.
2. .380
The .380 is a pistol that's quite concealable. They're often smaller and thinner than a 9mm subcompact. When a.380 strikes its target, it loses some of its impact, but it's still good enough for self-defense.
Ruger LCP II. The Ruger LCP II is a popular small gun that is a significant upgrade over the original LCP type. It comes in a variety of hues, making it simple to select one that you prefer.
Glock 42. If you're looking for a solid single stack, the Glock 42 is a wonderful option. 380, or if you're a Glock enthusiast looking for something a little more compact than their other choices.
Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ .380 ACP. The EZ 9mm's even smaller brother has arrived, and it's the easiest to rack and softest shooting rifle on the list. If you have weak arms or are sensitive to recoil, this is the weapon for you.
.38 Special
The.38 Special and.38 Special +P are popular revolver calibers, but they are rarely seen as semi-auto handguns.
Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard 38 Revolver Crimson Trace. Because it has a one-piece aluminum frame and a small barrel, this S&W revolver is extremely light. It's convenient, simple to use, and has a +P rating.
Ruger LCRx. Ruger's LCRx revolver is a compact revolver. It's a superb carry gun because of its aluminum frame and polymer parts.
